Product Description

StarQuartz strives to provide its customers with the high quality, innovative solutions to ensure a successful Urethane Grout installation. While Urethane Grout is typically exceptionally easy to clean off the surface of ceramic tile, natural stone and glass tile, some surfaces create challenges that make it necessary to use a chemical-based cleaner to remove residual grout film or haze. High gloss surfaces, through-body porcelains and etched / frosted glass are some surfaces that can be more difficult to clean. StarQuartz BLAZET Urethane Grout Cleaner provides a safe, effective and environmentally friendly way to remove any persistent grout haze.

Recommended Surfaces

Ceramic and porcelain tile; natural stone such as marble, granite, limestone, travertine, sandstone and flagstone; masonry and concrete; glass tile.

Application

  1. Follow all written installation instructions when applying Urethane Grout. For best results, remove grout haze AS YOU WORK, particularly in warm or dry climates.
  2. Allow cleaned areas to dry, then inspect tile / stone surface.
  3. If a second cleaning is necessary, WAIT 3 hours in low humidity environments and 6 hours in high humidity environments, making sure grout is cured enough to withstand light finger pressure without losing form, then spray BLAZE Urethane Grout Cleaner on a white scrubby DoodlebugT cleaning pad (do not flood the surface with cleaner).
  4. Rub the cleaning pad lightly over any remaining urethane haze, allow it to dwell on the tile / stone surface for at least 60 seconds (excessive haze may require direct spray on surface and/or more dwell time) to ensure sufficient penetration.
  5. Use a damp sponge and clean water to remove the film and cleaner.
  6. Finish by drying the tile surface with a clean towel or cloth

Grouting when tile surface is above 90°F (32°C) is not recommended. Cool tile surface with damp sponge if tile surface is above 90°F (32°C). Be careful not to add excessive water during the tile cooling process.

General Maintenance/Routine Cleaning

For general maintenance and/or routine cleaning, dilute one part Blaze with three parts warm water to make a 25% dilution.

Coverage

BLAZE will cover ~350-400 sq ft. per 24-oz spray bottle and ~1,600-2,100 sq ft. per 1-gallon bottle, depending on spray pattern and installation conditions.

Caution

• Do not pour directly on grout.

• Do not mix with grout wash water.

• Protect grout from staining agents and chemicals during the cure process.

• Do not let stand on tile surface for more than 2 minutes. This can cause grout failure and void all grout warranties.

. Do not use vinegar or acid solutions for clean-up; this could damage uncured grout.

. Always use protective clothing (gloves and eye protection) when working with grout.

. Wait 7 days before rigorously cleaning tile and grout surface.

. Always test a small, inconspicuous area first to ensure compatibility with all surface types, including all adjacent surfaces.

. Do not allow product to come in contact with any non-recommended surface.

. Contact StarQuartz if persistent haze exists.
